Accessories for Our Camera

Last year we bought our Canon EOS 550D SLR camera yet until now I/we still don't know much what certain settings to use for us to get a picture perfect shot.lol..Just like a proper professional photographer you know..hehe.There's a lot of beautiful scenery's you can get a snapshots of here in our county. Lovely landscapes, old houses, high streets, cathedral..loads and loads. Especially now that spring is coming, beautiful, colourful flowers are expected to bloom so another reason for me to get the perfect setting for a perfect snapshot!*wink*
We have to slowly build our camera though, I mean slowly get the accessories we need for us to make use of it's good quality instead of just leaving it lying around in the corner. We need quite a few. like a proper lens, tripod, remote and more. It is a bit pricey, but hunny said this would be our long lasting camera, hehe..That means we wont change at all no matter how high-tech the upgrade is in the market.harhar..This camera will capture many moments of our lives, from just the time of "Us Two" until we get to have the mini-Roxxy and mini James.hehe..
I like to take photos, as most bloggers are I suppose? *wink* We love to take photos to share, keep and for self assuring..haha. That we look good with this dress, we don't look fat, or we are better facing the camera or side view..I tell you what, taking photos would be another means to see if you gain weight if you don't have a full body mirror at home (like me). Haha..

So because of that, I need to get myself a remote and tripod for the meantime, as they are the ones that doesn't cost much. Here are the Deals I found

Canon Remote Control RC-06 for Canon EOS 500D, EOS 550D and EOS 600D

WAS £16.99 NOW £12.11

Professional Quality Adjustable Tripod For Canon EOS 550D, EOS 600D, EOS 60D By DURAGADGET

WAS £29.99 NOW £14.55
They are very useful as my hunny isn't always here to take photos of me.With my tripod and remote, I could get photos of me anytime..I can be as vain, sexy, funny in the photo as I want!

Life in the UK Test

In a few months time my 2 years Spouse Visa will expire already. My 2 year probation will be finished soon and I will be naturalise for a  Settlement Visa or Indefinite Leave to Remain provided I will pass the Life in the UK Test. This test is mandatory for those who wanted to Settle in the UK. It is a test to see how much you know of the British history, culture and politics before and after the war to the present, and how much you are familiar with the British way of life as you wanted to settle in the country.
You have to pay £50 for the exam as what I gathered from some of my Filipino work colleagues who already took the test. They said it was only up to 25 questions (if I heard it right) but there might be some changes and they will add the number of questions, I don't know, hopefully not. You could get a reviewer to scan and study before getting the test. My work colleagues said that the 2007 Edition of reviewer is the best one to get. If you are not so confident of a self review, I browsed the net earlier I came across a site that offers a course, training and certificate for the Life in the UK Test. Click here for details. If you want to practice the test like you are in the actual test day, with a timer and some useful questions, you can do it in a free on-line practice.
It's nice to do it all, buy a reviewer or go to a course training if you have the money and if it assures you can pass the test. But well for me with a little tight budget, I need to pass the test in August by self review and borrowed reviewer!hehe..I know God will be with me and I still have plenty of time to review..

Hope this post will be useful to you ;-) xx

Grandpa's 94th Birthday

What a busy week I had..weekend came by so quickly for me. Unexpectedly I have to work Sunday so here I am a bit tired but not too bad. I still have time to post and catch up with my weekly entry for Yummy Sunday meme. :)

This photo was taken on the 5th of November last year at Grandpa's 94th birthday. Here he is opening his present with  Emilia (SIL's daughter) :-)
And here is the yummy photo. :-) Grandpa's birthday cake and my scone (my favourite), made by my mum in-laws sister Helen..very British yes. Cup of tea/coffee with a cake and scone ( cream and jam..best to have it with tea).
And of course the day special day wont be completed without a family photo! Yay! I was not  in the photo as I took the photo obviously..lol. It was a great time for the family to be together, catch up and have some fun. We were all thankful to God for another year He blessed to our loving Grandpa :).
♥ Hope you had a yummy weekend! Have a yummylicious week ahead :) ♥
