Goodbye Summer

I can feel it summer is slowly fading, autumn is taking over. And I guess I would rarely see blue sky during this season. So I would share these nice blue sky photos taken during our holiday last July. Entry for Blue Monday :)

"Above all else, guard thy heart for it is the wellspring of life." -- Proverbs 4:23

Put me as a sign on your heart, as a sign on your arm; love is strong as death, and wrath bitter as the underworld: its coals are coals of fire; violent are its flames."
Solomon Song of Songs

"May the Lord bless you and keep you. May His light be always with thee. May He keep you safe from harm, and shield you from all wrong. May He grant you His peace. May He guide you on your way. Bring you joy with each new day."  The Benediction

See You Next Year Summer! :)

Fun in the Park

Time check, 11:37pm past my bedtime but here I am wide awake still. I thought I'd be knackered by now, getting more sleep and rest after my oh so tiring 4 days straight shifts. What made me keep awake still, I don't know. It must have been the coffee I had in the nursing home when we visited grandma. Anyways since I'm still up I'd better hunt a photo for my Blue Monday entry *wink*

hop hop hop!

Spin around Phoebs!

Spin more!

Swing and swing and swing!

These photos were taken during our holiday last month in Longleat. We had so much fun! Sharing these as my Blue Monday entry for the week..

Hair Accessorries ♥♥♥

Photobucket

I noticed here in England hair accessories are very popular in fashion especially during weddings. Big hats and fascinators as what they call it. You will be really fascinated seeing colourful, big hats and fascinators when you attend an English wedding. If you've seen the Royal wedding of Kate and William , you will say it's true.hehe.. I gather that traditionally, mother of the bride wears a hat on the wedding.Just like my mother in law she wore a hat in my SIL's wedding and she only wore fascinator on our wedding day. :) When we attended the wedding of my husband's cousin, I experienced an embarrasing, quite funny hair accessory disaster! hehe..let me tell you. As soon as as we arrived in the train station in London and just as we reached the ground floor few steps from the escalator I heard a little yet continuous bounced of something and I noticed it all came from my head. Oh dear, the beaded head band I was wearing (as you can see in the first photo at the top). Everyone (family) were looking at me and smiled and laugh of the little disaster. Good thing the train station in London have shops so there you go, Monsoon Accessorize to the rescue! We bought a new head accessorry, A blue green flowery head band that matches my dress and ring :P..hehe (you can see the photo at the top..

I'm in Blue..

Last week we've attended the wedding of my husband's cousin in London. So prior to that I was busy looking for what to wear on that day, until hunnybun and I found this blue dress in Newlook which was luckily on sale.*wink* And with the help of my mother in law we found a bargain for the matching bag and a shoes (which you can see in the photo below).

Photobucket
And there you go, the photo of me in my blue dress and to the right the photo of hunnybun and I during the champagne reception. I made sure my hunny's necktie matches my dress (weeeh..wink) !It was a very nice wedding and I enjoyed it especially the cream tea reception in the canal boat. :) By the way photo was taken by my FIL , thanks papsi! *wink* xx.

Electric Toothbrush

Photobucket

It's Blue Monday again! How's your weekend guys? Mine wasn't that exciting, just stayed home and kept myself busy with my hunny. Anyways my blue entry this week is this Braun electric toothbrush which my bunny got last Christmas. This was given to him by grandpa, but I am using it now since he got one already. I don't really want this electric toothbrush thingy cos I think it's just for lazy people.haha..Like just hold it in your mouth and it'll move itself. But now I know the main purpose of it really is to help protect your teeth and gums from hard brushing (which I do). This has a pressure control installed, if too much pressure applied, the red sensor lights to remind you to reduce the pressure. It has a professional timer, a short stuttering sound at 30-seconds intervals reminds you to brush your teeth equally all four quadrants of your mouth. You can set its brushing mode in Daily clean, Sensitive and Polish/whitening. It is rechargeable which takes really long.  I like using it now cos I can really see and feel that my teeth are shiny and clean. The only nuisance is, the vibration gives me headache!

Poole Pottery from Grandma and Grandpa

Two weeks ago FIL's brother rang and said if we could go to Spindrift (grandma and grandpa's house) and see if we want anything from there. Since grandma and grandpa (FIL's parents) will now be in a care home, they decided to rent their house to help pay the care home. They will rent it unfurnished so Bryan (FIL's bro) told us if we want anything in the house like furniture, kitchen ware or anything that would be useful for us when we have our own house. We picked some furniture and a few things and these Poole Pottery are one of them.

Photobucket

I thought it would be nice to display them in the dining area or I could put it in a corner unit furniture grandma and grandpa gave us.I'm so delighted because it'll be a big help for us since most of the things here in England are so expensive and for us new couple we are happy to welcome hand me down things. Thank you so much grandpa and grandma, and to FIL's siblings as well for their generosity and of course my PIL for helping us pack and carry them and to grandpa Smith (MIL's father) for offering a space in your house to store the furniture! Thanks in advance PIL and Bryan for offering to help us getting the furniture from Spindrift to Grandpa's house in Canterbury. To grandma and grandpa, thank you so much, We/ I promise to take care of your things the way you took care of them =) !

Fingers Crossed =)

Last week I blogged about the Lacoste Sale  which is up to 50% discount from polo's, footwear and accessories for men and women. I told my bunny about it and he said we'll have a look but we didn't have time last weekend cos the girls (Emilia and Phoebe..SIL's daughter) were here and bunny's cousin Emma. I just wanted him to have a look at this shoes I like, and convince him if I could get one of this.sshhh..I hope my charm will work..toink! hehe..I like the 1st one most but it doesn't have my size so the next option is the 2nd one. Please hunny?hehe..

Meet our Little Buddies

It's nice to be back here again in Blue Monday, one of my favourite meme =). This week I want you to meet my little buddies, our little ones, Jackie (the penguin) and Jacomo (the puppy). When and how did I get them? Well I got Jacomo a month ago, mother in law saw him in the supermarket and thought Jacomo would be very helpful to me in this cold weather. Since my husband's hot water bottle had a bit of leaked MIL thought it would be better to get Jacomo to keep me warm at night. I put Jacomo in the microwave for 2 minutes and then have him with me in bed nice and warm! He's got a lavender scent as well which makes him more cuddly!
Jacomo, hubby and me =)

Jackie and Me
And how did I meet Jackie? Oh well I just met her recently during our Christmas party 3 days ago. I had an exchange gift with my Asian friends and that's when I got Jackie. She's very cuddly, I love to hug her during the night, and guess what Jackie can change herself to this ;

 Clever isn't she? =)

Hope you enjoyed meeting my little buddies. It's been so long since I last joined and shared something here, Hello again Sally (the proud owner of Smiling Sally blog and the host of this meme) happy Christmas and a joyous New Year to you and your family and to all my blogger friends, followers and visitors! =)
