This is our home sports which we usually play every Sunday and on some weekdays with my parents inlaw whenever we're on the mood and the weather is good. That means not breezy outside cos we usually play it in the evening. Sun sets at 9:30 - 10pm here in summer so we can stay longer outside the garden. According to history of croquet, it is thought that it may have been an in-door version of lawn-bowling to be played in times of inclement weather. It was then played in more confined spaces. The players enjoyed it enough to bring it back outside for the summer. Originating in France, the game was called "paille-maille" which means ball-mallet.Because as you can see you are to use mallet and these coloured balls. We play it in pair, me and my hunnybunny and ofcourse my mother inlaw and my father inlaw. The blue coloured ball is my bunny, I'm the red one, the yellow one is my mother inlaw and the black one is my father inlaw. I like this game, I'm doing good on it now, learning well. My parents inlaw and my hunnybunny introduced this game to me the first week I arrived here. It became a way of bonding with my parents inlaw as well. Another Sunday entertainment we usually play is this, the Rummikab! I like this game as well. It's like a mahjong game if anyone of you knows mahjong? This is grandpa's favourite game as well, and it's our bonding moment with him. He is with us every Sunday for a traditional Sunday roast dinner. It's like we have dinner instead of lunch and we have tea at dinner time. English tradition I guess, don't know if lots of people doing it on Sundays. My bunny is quite good at this game, he's good at mental and logical games anyways.hehe..And oh have I tell you my bunny likes card and board games? He got collections of those, I'll share to you one of these days. Loads of them, some are quite old already. Anyways if you want to know Rummikab game rules click here.
1 Thoughtful thoughts for Roxxy:
Our family played a lot of games together. I think we even played Rummikub. It is a great way to bond with people.
