Another week for ruby entry! I have a very interesting one to share here. A very cute and lovely smile of Phoebe (SIL's daughter) in her Snow white dress, a Christmas present from nana and grandad. As you can see she likes it very much, it's in her christmas wish lists. It fits her very well so as the head band match.

Meet our Little Buddies

It's nice to be back here again in Blue Monday, one of my favourite meme =). This week I want you to meet my little buddies, our little ones, Jackie (the penguin) and Jacomo (the puppy). When and how did I get them? Well I got Jacomo a month ago, mother in law saw him in the supermarket and thought Jacomo would be very helpful to me in this cold weather. Since my husband's hot water bottle had a bit of leaked MIL thought it would be better to get Jacomo to keep me warm at night. I put Jacomo in the microwave for 2 minutes and then have him with me in bed nice and warm! He's got a lavender scent as well which makes him more cuddly!
Jacomo, hubby and me =)

Jackie and Me
And how did I meet Jackie? Oh well I just met her recently during our Christmas party 3 days ago. I had an exchange gift with my Asian friends and that's when I got Jackie. She's very cuddly, I love to hug her during the night, and guess what Jackie can change herself to this ;

 Clever isn't she? =)

Hope you enjoyed meeting my little buddies. It's been so long since I last joined and shared something here, Hello again Sally (the proud owner of Smiling Sally blog and the host of this meme) happy Christmas and a joyous New Year to you and your family and to all my blogger friends, followers and visitors! =)

Paskong Pinoy

Bunny's gifts for everyone last Christmas
At this time or occasion of  year, most of us make sure we spend it with our family and friends. In my country this time of year is so much fun and special. Everyone is happy and gay. Our parks and streets are very lively. Public entertainment and street parties all over the country. Reunion with old friends and classmates is something to look forward to. We have "Simbang Gabi" early mass (4am-5:30am) for nine consecutive days celebrating the birth of Jesus. And afterwards eating "bibingka" with coffee in a cool breeze of  December. Wonderful Christmas lights and big lanterns are present in most of the houses. The sweet voices of the carolers are something to look forward to every night. Haay.."Paskong Pinoy " will always be in my heart. I might be away from my own family this Christmas but I'll be celebrating it with my new family who loves me and whom I love too =) ..

Our Christmas was fun and chaos!haha

May inuman at kantahan
With friends
And family
Nieces and nephews

Happy Christmas Philippines!

First Snow

At our back garden..I took it this morning as soon as i woke up
Hello again my blogger friends, I'm a bit inspired of blogging at the moment so here I am.lol..How time flies, it seems like yesterday when I came here in England. Or should I say since I had my last Christmas back in the Philippines. And now Christmas is here again. It's getting closer and I can see it with all the colourful Christmas lights, big Christmas trees and lots of Christmas sale in the high street and malls all over the country. Last weekend bunny and I started our christmas shopping, looked for our Christmas gifts at dockside in Medway near my SIL's place. And oh dear, it was extremely cold. Frost had started and I saw how the fields turned white as we were driving to my SIL's place. And then it gets colder and colder each day until I had my first snow experienced last Sunday. They said for 17 years it's just the only time it snowed in November. They had a horrible winter last year and wasn't expecting this early snow really. But yeah it was quite an excitement to me to see and experienced snow!haha..It's every body's dream from a hot weather country. And today we have more snow, a proper snow I guess cos what I saw on Sunday was just a very quick one. Yet it's not good somehow in the roads, or for travelling. A lot of classes were suspended cos of the heavy snow and bunny and I can't book watching Harry Potter cos of the bad weather. Not good to travel at night. Oh well, I am enjoying watching it in the window, but not enjoying the coldness it brings at all.hehe..I am looking of playing under the snow though, making snow ball and snow man and a great photo under the snow! =)

Thorntons chocolate Selection

As I've said in my profile I certainly oh so love chocolates! I can eat it any time of day, eat it with something, or munch it all alone.hehe..I love milk chocolates, with nuts but not raisins. I don't like it mixed with other flavours as well just like chocolate with strawberry or any fruity flavour. PIL gave bunny and I this box of Thorntons chocolate selection when they got home from their holiday. It's a selection of milk, dark and white chocolates. Flavours are:
  • Coconut Paradise- a sweet coconut centre with lightly toasted coconut pieces coated in milk chocolates
  • Lemon Parfait- real zesty lemon folded with double cream, wrapped in smooth with chocolate
  • Country Caramel- a deliciously chewy caramel smothered in milk chocolate
  • Almond Marzipan- soft almond marzipan smothered in dark chocolates
  • Chocolate Truffle- a rich smooth chocolate truffle with a hint of vanilla smothered in white chocolate
  • Creamy Fudge- a lightly whipped creamy fudge lavishly covered in milk chocolate
  • Hazelnut Praline- wonderfully smooth hazelnut praline with roasted chopped hazelnuts and almonds covered in white chocolates
  • Layered Chocolate Classic- Tripple chocolate temptation with this layered combination of our smooth milk, white and dark chocolate
  • Creamy Coffee- a coffee-infused double cream soft truffle coated in dark chocolate
  • Honeycomb Crunch- velvety milk chocolate bursting with crispy honeycomb and sugar-roasted hazelnut and croquant
  • Turkish Delight- delicately fragrant rose flavour Turkish Delight drenched in dark chocolate
  • Strawberry Velvet- soft strawberry and double cream fondant coated in milk chocolate
I like the Layered Chocolate classic and the Hazelnut praline. How about you?
So what do you think sounds the best flavour? Can you point some flavours in the box?

I'm Back!

haaay it's been a long time of absence I had in blogging world. Things weren't that busy but I I found it too busy being bored and frustrate myself for some nonsense things! Oh yeah the days of my absence here weren't productive at all! I isolated myself here for quite long and now I feel the need to share to you why I wasn't been active here lately. Was just a bit depressed with things which I felt seems to be so slow moving. I was frustrated with uncertainties of job hunting and sudden melancholy of being away from home. Oh dear I nearly broke down, you know just like everything seemed so hard for me here and I thought i wouldn't survive here. So I thought must be good for me to come back to the Philippines yet on the other hand I don't want to since that means I'll leave my bunny here and I can't imagine that life at all. So one day I chatted to my sister and I just suddenly cried so much in front of her saying, I could not go on anymore because I miss them. And it feels like every bit of things or memories I've missed being with them gets harder everyday. And I said I guess I'll just be better to go back in the Philippines. And my sister said, yes they missed me too so bad but she said this is my life now, this is where I need to be, with the man I love. And she said she understands what I felt but she said they wouldn't be happy as well if I leave my bunny here and stay with them rather, because she said my life is with my bunny now. she said I just need to be patient and everything will fall into place. I know God has plans for me and now I want to know him better so I decided to join the Christianity Explored in out church. It's a 10 weeks course with regards to christian faith and knowing God more. Because at the moment I need a strong guidance, strength and wisdom to overcome my frustrations and depressions. I'm back now and I'm ready to share with you my walk with life =)

Happy Birthday Grandpa Smith!

Today is another special day. It's grandpa Stanley's (MIL's father) 93rd birthday! As usual we do visit him and do his shopping every Friday, but today we have another special reason to visit him.So this morning MIL,FIL and I went to his house (FIL took day off, bunny's working so he's not with us) to get his shopping lists and of course to greet him and give him birthday cards. The first thing I noticed as I got in his lounge were a number of birthday cards in his window seal. Whew, that means loads loved grandpa isn't it? Yeah he's really nice and I am really fond of him and loved him even just I knew him just quite a while. He's very generous to us and very thoughtful. He's got a hearing problem though, he stays alone in his house that's why sometimes I hate to visit him because I hate to leave him as well. I don't know but it breaks my heart to think he's just alone in his house. He's just always sitting in his lounge watching TV and he said he's just cheered when someone visits him but he gets lonely when they leave. If I could just drive I will visit him everyday. MIL does it regularly though, it's just hard here cos every one's busy unlike in our country, you have all your time! Anyways I kissed and greeted and handed our card for him. Glad to say he liked it very much, he said it is so special.hehe.. thanks grandpa! Tomorrow we are going to celebrate his birthday as what they always do here every year. Family gather together here at PIL's house, so we are quite busy today preparing and so as tomorrow. I cooked leche flan but how it came out doesn't look promising to me.lol. I'll share the photos of the happy moment sometime here. Happy Birthday Grandpa, I hope and pray that you will enjoy your celebration tomorrow, and that I am so thankful to God I've got the privileged of  knowing you. James and I love you so very much!

"Magkaribal" keeps Me Busy

Because I still can't find a work yet, I am spending most of my times at home. I am just busy every Tuesdays and Fridays when we do shopping, weekends (bunny keeps me busy!hehe) and every other Wednesday cos of the Ladies group I am joining in church. I don't do a lot in the house really, everything is  just quite handy. So after I've done my morning routine the next I do is to turn on the computer. Yes "Dellio" our PC (cos it's a DELL product) has been my company all day when bunny is at work. Dellio makes me reach the unreachable,unlimited,7 days a week. And the best thing he does is to cheer me when I'm homesick by connecting me to my family through "Skype". He does a lot for me that's why I love him so much. hehe..And last time when I spoke online to my sister she mentioned one of the Filipino soap opera "Magkaribal". She said it it's coming to an end this week and I remember this cos I knew it was about to be shown in ABS in June this year. The actresses and actors are interesting as well so I asked Dellio to find it for me and hoorah! he found for me. I have few British Tv shows favourites, most of them are reality but there's one soap MIL and I are following at lunchtime, "Heartbeat". It's a police drama series set in 1970's in the county of Yorkshire. It's nice and I've been familiar with the actors and actresses but iba pa rin yong Filipino drama shows. So this week I seldom come out of our room cos of this "Magkaribal". Gretchen Baretto and Bea Alonzo. I'll show you the video of the 1st episode;

Very inspiring yong story, better watch it! =)

I Wanna Grow Old with You

I'm the type of girl that hates to assume too much in a relationship. I don't know but I don't  like or want to play too important in a persons life or he to me. Just like talking about the future together with a boyfriend, how many or what gender of kids you like, or even just think of walking in the aisle with him! Duh! that' just too much for me! hehe..I don't know but I feel like for me if I talk to him about it he'll just think I'm that eager or I love him that much or kung baga patay na patay ako sa kanya! (toink!)Oh sya oo na ma Pride chicken na ako!hehe..In fairness red mah lips but the last thing I want a guy to think eh yong patay na patay ako sa kanya!N.E.V.E.R! But?when my bunny came along, kinain nya lahat ng pride ko!Ako pa atangpropose sa mokong na to, kasi ang TORPE, and hina ng radar!haha. .Anyways serious ha, my bunny made me think of me walking in the aisle which I never thought in my entire life. Feeling ko ang dyahe, tsaka isang lang malaking ka ek-ekan! But everything changed when I met James, even though we haven't meet in person yet that time I already saw myself with him. And lahat yun has been cleared when he came to the Philippines last May 2009 and met me in person. And by then we started to plan our future together. We never gave up even though we had loads of  failures on our way to the journey. January 2010, we applied for my fiancee visa and alas! I was approved in 3 weeks! But before I was approved I was so apprehensive cos bunny set our wedding date already, and I was so pessimistic with the visa. And I said to him "what if I'll be denied again, what shall we do?" and this was his answer " I'll come back in the Philippines  I'll find work there, and live there with you. And no matter what happen by hook or by crook I will marry you this year, whether it'll be in the UK or there in the Philippines!" Whew! those were the words that kept me going and I clung on to.God knew how genuine we were so He heard our prayer and now we are half way to the future we both planned. Get married here in the UK, finally met his family, get a job (which I'm still not lucky to have), have our own place to call home (working on it),have little Roxxy and little James in God's good time and growing old together. A glimpse of our future that is worth fighting for.

Bizarre Looking Shop

Every time I went to town I always passed by in this bizarre structure of Kings English shop. It looks like it's gonna fall down any minute. I don't know if they really built it this way or forces of nature had anything to do with this.Shops here are quite different in our country, what we have there are very typical modern establishment as I am to describe it. But here in England their local shops are very interesting. Built in stone, some looks very old and were built many years ago. A lot of  foreign visitors are caught by this bizarre structure and always gets photo of it when they get passed. Another most picturesque shop in Canterbury town is the Hotel Chocolat. Quite old as well and of course different kinds of chocolates are to be found inside.Yum! There's another old stone shop next to Kings English shop if your going left, I'll take a photo of it when I remember.

Harry Potter Book Collection

Magic spells, brooms, quidditch, potions, the moving portraits, moaning Myrtle, headless Nick, Snape, Ron, Hermione, Slytherin, Gryffindor, You know Who? and of course the famous Albus Dumbledore! And oh how could I forget the boy who lives "Harry Potter". Yes I'm one of Harry Potter fan, not so much before until my bunny gave me the Harry Potter book collection last year.

And because I love reading and not so much to do back home, I was able to read all the 7 books.

And of course watched all six movie sequel. Actually watched it many times, but it's not as exciting as when you read it. I mean, in movies they tend to summarised what had happened whilst in the book you will know everything and will be able to understand and connect the story more. And because the last sequel "Deathly Hallows Part 1" will be releasing soon, I decided to read again and refresh my mind of what had happened, before we watched the movie. Bunny promised me we'll watch it in cinema. Will you watch it too?

Couples Excuse

"I will do it tomorrow" hmmm..a very common excuse when you don't feel like doing something, too lazy or don't like it at all perhaps.hehe..I guess this excuse is often made by my bunny, and I say it as well but not as often as he does. And this excuse I remember was made so often while we were preparing our wedding. Just like when I asked him "have you asked someone (a friend) if he could be our usher or him (a friend) if he could do the first reading, and then I always got the "I will do it or ring him tomorrow" and then week ends with no results at all. We seemed to argue almost every week when we were preparing our wedding cos I get annoyed with him like it seemed he always need reminding. But we got over it, I get to my bunny and I seemed to get used to him as well. There's just one thing I keep on asking him to do that he always give me the "I will do it tomorrow or next time" answer is that to read our marriage book that was a gift to us on our wedding. Until now he haven't read a single page! And in my case I tend to say this excuse when bunny asked me to change our bed sheet.hehe..Cos sometimes I feel lazy doing it. That's all I can remember, I'm feeling a bit lazy doing blogging, so please bare with me, I feel a bit frustrated as I still can't find work! I'll visit you guys when I feel a bit more enthusiastis.Happy CC!

My First Ever Blog Award!

I always do check my c-box as soon as I open my blog each day and last night while I was writing my Ruby Tuesday entry I noticed a new message in my c-box. It says "EINZ: passing one lovely blog award for you. check it out!" Was a bit confused at first but when I open the name EINZ I was delighted to see my blog as one of the list in the Lovely Blog Award passed by my new blog follower and newly discovered blogger friend Momytots. Thanks sis for this first ever award, and now it's my turn to pay it forward to 15 other bloggers. Whew, another good reason to stay blogging
( Ma pipissed off na naman ng bonggang bongga ang asawa ko sa tagal ko sahehe computer!) and opportunity to discover new friends in blogging world! Nice to meet you Momytots. By the way care to tell me your real name sis?hehe..I'll start my blog search tomorrow! Cheers!

Indigestion Problem

My bunny is having an indigestion problem this past few days. I'm getting a bit worried because it gives him sleepless nights and makes him feel uneasy especially if he's at work. Last Friday night he never slept well due to this problem and Sunday night again, and then yesterday he complained about it while he was at work. In fact he didn't finish his lunch cos he said he gets full easily and feels like his tummy was bloating. So I researched about Indigestion problem yesterday, and I found out from the Home Remedies website that Stress and Anxiety causes indigestion. I'm not giving any stress to my bunny this past few days, I've been good.(hehe) So for sure it's from work cos one of his colleagues resigned so he does most of the work and school term just started 3 weeks ago so each day he's packed of students asking him to install or fix this or that. Fast eating without chewing properly, Heavy meal, Consuming excess alcohol, Smoking, Pregnancy, Peptic ulcer,Anti-inflammatory drugs, Changes in lifestyle, Diseases that affect digestive organs  are the following that causes indigestion.

So to avoid indigestion, Avoid large meals, take small and frequent meals. Increase water intake and drink herbal tea. Abstain from smoking and alcoholic beverages. Avoid tea, coffee and other drinks that contain caffeine. Avoid hot spicy and fatty foods. Restrict intake of chocolates. Oh dear I don't like the chocolate restriction, lol. But bunny have to follow, so he's abstaining from having hot choc for our night drink,he's having honey, vanilla and chamomile tea instead. Because I found out that herbal tea's and ginger tea after meal are good for indigestion. And if you want an instant relief put a baking soda in water and drink it.

My Red Pyjama

Last 2 months ago my MIL gave me a shopping treat at Sainsburys Hempstead Valley in Chatham. She used her nectar points credits which she earned from her 2 days a week shopping at Sainsburys (one of the biggest supermarket in the UK). Yes she earned quite a lot, and she bought me this
pair of red pyjamas which is really nice and comfortable.

I like to wear it in cold nights, warm enough and it suits me well. MIL actually bought me 2, the other is a pair of black pyjamas which is nice as well but bit tight though.hehe..So grateful of my in laws really especially my PIL. Thanks God for these wonderful people!

I'm joining this in Ruby Tuesday meme. Have a good day everyone!

Our New Found Hobby

I love spending time with my bunny,we always make sure we do things together especially on weekends. Outdoors, we go shopping together on Saturday, have a walk in the village at our usual walking area, play croquet with PIL in the garden if the weather is nice. Or if we prefer to stay indoor due to bad weather or me bit lazy to go out,we clean the room (hehe..bit boring this one),or we watch DVD movie or CSI for we both like it, we play card or board games with parents in law during the night and our most favourite bonding is playing computer games. Haha,it makes us argue sometimes like which bit to move (in Cradle of Rome game)or he gets annoyed with me cos I moved the puzzle in a wrong direction from what he said, and I get annoyed with him sometimes if we can't finished the puzzle and the times up!grrr..It has a benefit to us as well because we make a good team in working things out and be successful with the puzzle, hope we can apply it on our marriage day by day. And last time when we went shopping in west wood cross to get PIL a present and card we found this very interesting computer game at WHSmith.I recommended it to him before but I wasn't able to convinced him in buying it, yet that time I did. It was on sale, buy one get one so I persuaded him again. It's a Big Fish Mystery Case File games. Somewhat like a detective game, like your going to search and recover a certain things given and try to work out a puzzle in order to proceed to next place or door. Oh dear, we argued a lot as we played it because I can't get him out of the computer and he won't let me have the mouse =( . But good thing we managed to finish the 2 games without a big fight,hehe..And I guess my bunny got really hooked with the Case files game so last Saturday he convinced me to get more of it at Play.com as we can get the games cheaper in this website than we did at WHSmith. So how many did he get, 7! 7 Mystery Case files game in one buy,hmmmm...He convinced me very well and I was hooked too I guess, in fact I am so excited for it to arrive soon.hehe..It's free delivery so we'll be waiting a bit longer, I'm inclined to say we found a new hobby.lols.. At least we'll get ourselves occupied in the winter or at times we are lazy to go outdoor.
